Unfortunately, I was beaten by the rugby crowds last Saturday but if anyone is definitely meeting at the Library in Barry at 10,00am next Saturday I will be there too.
I will wait to hear and keep my fingers crossed that we can meet up.

Sorry, Carolynne, I didn't find your post until today (Monday) - I hope there was someone else there. I'd like to try again this coming Saturday - 31st March - if you can face it. I have also e-mailed Ann, so maybe there will be a few of us (fingers crossed!!!).

Hi Carolynne

I'm sorry you didn't get much luck! I spoke to the man who organises the coffee morning in the Library in Barry and he assured me that there was always at least one person there from 9.30 onwards. He said they meet in the Phillip John room upstairs and the library staff normally direct people up there. He also said that there's a poster downstairs to direct people up to the room. He said he would try and make the poster more noticeable from now on.

I hope this helps but please get in touch if you would have any ideas of activities you would like to do in the Vale to practise your Welsh and I'll go ahead and organise them. Tell your friends too because it would great if it was a big groupof us! The more the merrier and the more practise the better! Contact me on willisg1[at]cardiff.ac.uk or your welcome to give me a ring anytime on 029 20 879 318.

Well done! Now that you've made the first contact it should get easier - you've tracked them down and perhaps that will encourage others to go along as well. Do they generally meet every Saturday? Is it just cancelled next week because it's Easter?

Yes, normally every week, but not next Saturday because of Easter. Only thing I wasn't keen on was the size of the coffee cups - v v v small!!! But that just meant we had multiple cups of delicious REAL coffee. We also had a grandstand view, from the library windows overlooking King's Square, of the military parade for the Freedom of the City.
