S'mae!

Does anyone know a nice place to speak Welsh in Cardiff?
And also... a nice spot for a picnic in the Brecon Beacons?

Diolch yn fawr!

In Cardiff, there's a friendly, drop-in SSIW gathering one Saturday morning a month (including this coming Saturday) at Coffee #1 near the train station. Details are in the first post of this thread (for the location) and in the last posts of the thread (for the latest news):

There's also a weekly SSIW gathering in Cardiff on Monday evenings in the Mochyn Du pub, I believe.

As for general places to speak Welsh in Cardiff, there's the Mochyn Du, and the Caban bookshop (in the Pontcanna neighborhood), and Clwb Ifor Bach for live Welsh-language rock bands, and there's the wonderful bilingual Museum of Welsh Life at St Fagan's just outside Cardiff. I'm sure SSIWers who live there will have more ideas. What are you looking for? Do you live there, or will you be visiting?
