2013 Tresaith Bootcamps - 2 places left this year!

Postby Aran » Fri Nov 23, 2012 11:54 am

Well, when I say here...

Click on the date you'd like, and it will take you to the booking page.

April 27th – May 4th 2013

[Completed]

June 22nd – 29th 2013

[1 places remaining] Information and chat thread here: http://www.saysomethingin.com/welsh/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=8423

July 27th – August 3rd 2013 (this is the week prior to the Eisteddfod)

[**New** 1 place re-available]

September 21st – 28th 2013

[Sold out, although you can still register for the reserve list]

If you haven't been to Bootcamp before, please take a look at Catrin's 'All you need to know about Bootcamp' thread before booking:

viewtopic.php?f=33&t=7256

And as ever, please bear in mind that you MUST have completed Course 1 and the 10 vocab units to attend Bootcamp, in order to make the week as valuable as possible for everyone.

Please also be aware that bookings are final and non-refundable.

We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance to cover you against a forced change of plans (on your part, not on ours! We will of course refund everyone in full if we have to cancel any Bootcamp - for example, if any Bootcamp doesn't get the minimum of 6 attendees).

The Bootcamps are filling up fast but for my next holiday in Wales I would like to stay in a Welsh speaking B&B. After reading Dee's newsletter I looked on the Best of Wales site but it seems to be all self catering. Where could I find the info I want?

I'm afraid I don't know of any way to search specifically for Welsh-speaking B&Bs - it's something we should try and do something about one of these days - for now, your best bet would be to search for B&Bs in a particular area (preferably a strong Welsh-speaking area) and see if any of them mention speaking Welsh...

Thanks, Aran. I am surprised there isn't such a list/site already.

Hi , I've booked a place in the Bootcamp in July/August and I want to go to the Eistedfodd afterwards.
- Catrin wrote earlier about eventually hiring a house for SSiW-visitors. Is it possible to join there?
- Catrin also wrote about booking a place in a caravan. Is it possible or necessary to book by now ?
- I can't stay the whole week, only until Tuesday or Wednesday. Is this a problem ( for hiring a house)?
- Is it possible to go from Tresaith to Denbigh in one day? Or: Does someone else, who comes to this Bootcamp, plan to go to the Eistedfodd and can give me a lift?
I know it is still long time until July, but in this dark season I need something to look forward.
(Oh Aran, I promise, I'll have a mobil phone with me. )

:seren:

:D

I'm not aware of a group hiring a house - if you start a separate thread in General Chat, you'll see if you'll be able to find enough people to do so...:)

Booking a caravan - I would imagine that's still be possible and will be for a few months yet, but as with everything to do with the Eisteddfod, you don't want to leave it too late!

Hiring for part of a week - this will not be very easy. Any house will almost certainly have to be hired for the full week - but you might be able to work a deal out with the other people hiring it, if the interest is there.

Tresaith to Denbigh in one day - yup, no problem. [And a good chance of getting a lift from Bootcamp, I would imagine...:)]
