While shopping this afternoon at the local shopping centre, I noticed a young lad of about 9 or 10 wearing a Cymru national rugby shirt, and looked at him for a few minutes with interest. He looked at me and smiled, because he saw my Draig Goch shopping bag (a memento of last year's visit to Wales). I asked him if he supported Wales, he said of course, I was born in Wales. I asked him if he spoke Welsh, he said he did when he was younger. When I said "ti'n siarad Cymraeg?" he became embarrassed and walked away. Pity, and a nice moment at the same.

But one of these days you're going to find yourself making a Welsh-speaker's entire holiday.

'And there we were in Sydney and this Dutch guy came up to us and started speaking Welsh!!'...
