Speaking Dutch in Berlin.

Postby youngblandford » Sun Sep 15, 2013 12:50 pm

While I've not had chance to use Dutch in contex my Dutch mates who are out here as well have been very impressed with my knowing and pronouncing "ik Ben net behonen Nederland de lira" and "can u me fatella hu ik bay dee dicbyzynder bar de coma, Ashabliz". They'd be appalled at my spelling though!

We had a great time discussing languages. They agree with the ssi just have a go mantra and how getting Dutch word order wrong doesn't hinder understanding just shows you're not a first language speaker. And if a Dutch speaker doesn't know the German, just says the Dutch in a German accent.

So roll on October and my trip to Amsterdam!!

Les 7 will be up in a few days, and hopefully Les 8 before you depart for Amsterdam...

Room in suitcase for one?

Ik wil nu graag een glas rode wijn en ik wil nu graag nu nederlands leren.
